The Office of Special Education is dedicated to developing, coordinating, and overseeing programs designed to support students with disabilities. We recognize the uniqueness of every student and are committed to providing educational programs tailored to support their individual learning journeys.
Students who qualify for special education services under Part 200 of the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education have access to a wide range of support. We are committed to ensuring that all eligible students receive a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) and are educated in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE). This means students with disabilities are included with their non-disabled peers to the greatest extent appropriate within the District.
We work in close collaboration with BOCES to identify and access programs that best meet each student’s needs. Our partnership helps ensure that students benefit from the most suitable educational opportunities available.
Our school provides a variety of services and programs tailored to the diverse needs of our students. We value strong partnerships with families and believe that collaboration with parents is essential to helping every child succeed.
