Alexander School DistrictThe Alexander Central School District serves all or parts of seven townships in rural southwestern Genesee County and a small portion of northwestern Wyoming County.

Alexander Central School is committed to long-term improvement supported by the development of the continuing major restructuring efforts to build partnerships with community and industry, raise the level of student achievement, provide useful staff training, and develop resource support.

The course offerings for our students encompass a full range of educational opportunities, from advance placement and technical courses to instruction for student with handicapping conditions. The District supports a full compliment of athletic facilities and enjoys wide student participation.

The Alexander Central School community has a population of about 7500 distributed over 110 square miles of the Towns of Alexander, Darien, Bethany, Batavia, Middlebury, Attica, and Bennington. The District is largely agricultural in nature including among some of the largest and most progressive dairy and cash crop farms in the state. Residents not employed in agribusiness, find employment in the Correctional Facilities located in nearby Attica or Wyoming or commute to professional, commercial and industrial positions in Batavia (8 miles to the north), Buffalo (30 miles to the west) or Rochester (30 miles to the northeast). US Route 20 bisects the District while NY Route 98, 77 and 238 serve as major highways from the north and south.
